Head of Accounting

EMEA Recruitment are recruiting for a Head of Accounting for the Swiss entity of an international organisation based in Zug.

This Head of Accounting role would suit someone looking to step into a leadership role, who enjoys taking ownership for key financial tasks across local entities and leading a small team.

Responsibilities of the Head of Accounting:

• Manage the Accounting function of the Swiss group and the Accounting team
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial closings under IFRS
• Oversee AP, accruals, cost controlling, intercompany invoicing and margin analysis
• Cash management and forecasting
• Take ownership the Internal Controlling System, driving improvements where possible
• Audit ownership and prepare statutory financial statements in Swiss GAAP
• Complete local and international VAT declarations and corporate tax returns

Experience and Qualifications:

• 5 + years’ experience working at a management level
• A completed degree or qualification in Accounting
• Experienced working in an international environment
• Fluent in German and English
