Junior Accountant

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a fantastic international business in the commodities space, based in Zug, in its search for a competent Junior Accountant who is keen to learn and develop.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Accountant and will have close communication with all members of the team, including senior management.

You will have a range of responsibilities, including assisting with the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements, and processing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.

Our client is looking for a dynamic and driven candidate with clear communication qualities to assist with the financial running of the business.

Responsibilities of the Accountant:

• Maintain accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations, along with ad-hoc bank reconciliations
• Processing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and Swiss OR
• Support analysis of the financial statements and preparation of forecasts and budgets
• Assist with internal and external audits

Ideal profile:

• Knowledge of IFRS and Swiss OR is essential
• Experience within an international organisation
• Driven and willing to learn
• Knowledge of Swiss VAT is a plus
• English fluency and a good knowledge of the German language
