Director of External Manufacturing

Job Description

We are exclusively working with a growing beverage business who are seeking to engage with a Director of External Manufacturing to manage their substantial external manufacturers across the European Region.

Our client is currently experiencing rapid growth and thus the Director of External Manufacturing will be tasked with ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of third-party manufacturers.

You will be the main point of contact for over 20 plants across 9 European countries, with plans to open at least 3 more locations in the coming months. You will also be responsible for growing and managing the operations team overseeing all vendor relationships.

The ideal candidate will have experience translating forecast into supply requirements and executing strategy to ensure third-party manufacturing performance in line with business growth.

As Director of External Manufacturing, we are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillsets:

• Ideally 8+ years’ experience Supply Chain in a FMCG environment, beverage industry experience would be a particular advantage
• Experience working internationally with External Manufacturing
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
• Knowledge of inventory control and risk management
• Experience in agile, fast-growing businesses would be advantageous
• Fluent English
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
