Global Category Manager Indirect

Job Description

My client, in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a German speaking Global Category Manager Indirect to oversee their indirect procurement categories globally and lead a team of buyers in their Zug office.

You will manage strategic procurement globally within Indirect, with a focus on Energy, Capex, Services and Packaging categories.

Global Category Manager Indirect – Exclusive, Zug, Switzerland

We are looking for candidates with a good foundation in global strategic procurement of indirect categories in particular understanding of Energy and Capex in an industrial manufacturing environment.

As Global Category Manager Indirect you will operate in a strategic leadership capacity, delivering cost reduction and value chain improvement programs across a wide region, through the implementation of best practice and management of Procurement activities for all indirect services categories globally.

Ideally, you will have previous leadership experience and category expertise.

We are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

• Ideally 8+ years’ experience in Procurement in a similar position covering category management responsibilities
• Procurement expert with experience of operating on a global scale, with a drive to deliver best-in-class purchasing methods
• Previous experience with people management is not essential, but would be highly advantageous
• Fluent English and German is essential – French would also be beneficial
