Our client, a market leader in the technology sector, seeks a Global Category Manager – HR Services for their strategic office in Zug, Switzerland.


Global Category Manager – HR Services, Zug, Switzerland


As Global Category Manager – HR Services, you will have responsibility for:

  • Providing senior leadership capacity delivering cost reduction programs across the region
  • Implementation of best practice and management of Procurement activities
  • Adopt and drive a continuous improvement mindset, while liaising with sourcing managers on a global scale
  • Manage and execute projects to transform spend in the categories of HR, Contingent Labour, External Workforce, Comp & Bens, and L&D
  • Ownership of category management and implement strategies in line with the wider business
  • Harvesting successful relationships with senior internal stakeholders and leaders within the Professional Services area
  • Manage multiple complex projects that will influence business operations on a global scale
  • Supplier relationship management and development of supplier portfolio
  • Inform and develop implementation strategies by holding strong market knowledge and providing genuine guidance in the topic as a subject matter expert


You will ideally have solid experience within both HR and Professional Services sourcing and offer genuine strategic insights.


Additionally, as Global Category Manager – HR Services, we are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillsets:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent level
  • Ideally 8+ years’ experience in a similar position covering Category Management responsibilities
  • Procurement expert with experience of operating on a global scale with a drive to deliver best-in-class purchasing methods
  • Ability to cover and take on additional subcategories that are not covered by existing category policies
  • Strong influencer who has the readiness to identify cost reduction opportunities with the aim of achieving service targets with respect to quality, costs and time
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, German would be desirable, but not essential
  • Accustomed and knowledgeable in using SAP system and related software
