Regional Procurement Manager Logistics

Our client, a large FMCG business, is seeking a Regional Procurement Manager Logistics following sustained growth in its Procurement function, based near Zug.

As the Regional Procurement Manager Logistics, you will be involved with both global and regional sourcing activities. You’ll be liaising with logistics suppliers, analysing vendors, negotiating contracts and managing suppliers in line with the business growth.

Reporting to the Category Director, you will ideally have solid experience within a sourcing environment, which will include expertise in consolidating fragmented spend.

You will be responsible for logistics spend across the European region, including Germany, Denmark, Norway, France, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK, with a specialist background in either rail, road or sea. You will have procurement process and P2P understanding, with proven success optimising the logistics category.

Regional Procurement Manager Logistics, Zug, Switzerland

The Regional Procurement Manager Logistics will be based near Zug and will require key responsibilities, including:

• Leading strategic supplier direction, qualifications and capabilities to both extend and expand supply base
• Understanding the categories, analysing the market, preparing sourcing strategy, using RFP process, negotiating, implementing and tracking results
• Providing forward looking guidance on trends, risks and opportunities throughout the complete value/supply chain

As the Regional Procurement Manager Logistics, we are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Ideally 5+ years’ experience in a Logistics Procurement role
• Ability to identify, understand and give priority to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers
• Previous consumer goods industry experience
• Fluent in English - any other language is an advantage
