Commercial Controller - Exclusive

EMEA Recruitment is working exclusively with a large international client in its search for a Commercial Controller based in one of its sites in Carlisle, Peterborough or Oxfordshire.

The company is a US-listed, leading manufacturer in the FMCG industry, with current turnover of $13 billion.

The newly appointed Commercial Controller will report into the UK Finance Manager.

Responsibilities of the Commercial Controller:

• Commercial reporting – guaranteeing accurate sales and cost of goods sold data
• Collaborate with the Commercial team on sales, contracts, rebate accruals and reconciliations
• To liaise with the Shared Service Centre department, ensuring credit limits are adhered to and payments are followed up
• Monthly reconciliation of customer held product and ensuring the recovery of losses
• Monthly reports, budgets and forecasts

Ideal candidate profile:

• Data driven, with full understanding of variable, fixed costs and margin analysis, and great attention to detail
• Prior experience in budgeting and forecasting, analysing variances against forecasts, and presenting findings to management
• Good communication and presentation skills to all levels
• Has commercial awareness, employing a logical approach and effective decision-making/problem-solving skills - a continuous improvement mindset is essential
• Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines within a team
• Good IT knowledge, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a good working knowledge of SAP
• Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment is desired

• £50,000 + 15% bonus
