My client, in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a Global Category Manager IT to oversee its Software Procurement globally and lead a team of buyers from its London offices.

You will manage strategic procurement globally within IT, leading on the global software portfolio.

Global Category Manager IT – Exclusive – London

We are looking for candidates with a good foundation in global strategic Procurement of indirect categories; in particular having specific management of IT software. Ideally you will have experience in a global manufacturing B2B or B2C business that operates a variety of best-in-class processes and specialist software.

As Global Category Manager IT, you will operate in a strategic leadership capacity, delivering cost reduction and value chain improvement programs globally, through the implementation of best practice and management of Procurement activities.

Ideally, you will have previous experience and category expertise within IT and specifically IT software.

We are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

• Ideally 5+ years’ experience in Procurement in a similar position covering category management responsibilities
• Ideally a Degree, Business or IT related discipline preferred
• Procurement expert with experience of operating on a global scale, with a drive to deliver best-in-class purchasing methods
• Previous experience with people management is not essential, but would be highly advantageous
• Fluent English is essential, other languages beneficial
