Job Description

My client, a large global business in the manufacturing sector, seeks a Procurement Manager – Bulk Chemicals to assist in managing the strategic procurement of one of its largest chemical portfolios within bulk/commodity chemicals.

As a Procurement Manager – Bulk Chemicals, you will be responsible for supporting commodity chemical portfolios globally with strategic procurement initiatives, acting as a Global Category Manager.

My client is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer to take on one of its largest spend areas within chemicals procurement, focusing on high value transactions, and long-term supplier management and market strategy.

The successful candidate will have a passion for Procurement and existing knowledge within the chemicals market, ideally having managed a bulk/commodity chemicals portfolio previously dealing with large chemicals companies.

We are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

• Confident in sourcing bulk/commodity chemicals  
• Degree qualified – ideally in a business-related field
• Essential that you have experience selling or buying bulk chemicals
• Experience working for or with larger chemicals companies globally –experience sourcing in Europe and Asia/South East Asia would be highly advantageous
• Excellent negotiation skills – have independently managed high value contract negotiations
• Fluent English is essential - any other languages are beneficial
