Laurie is an Associate Consultant in our Finance & Accountancy recruitment team, working in close partnership with Director, John Bower, in the Suisse Romande region, and Lauren Eagar, Senior Consultant, in Deutschschweiz.
She joined EMEA Recruitment in August 2023 with a total of three years’ recruitment experience, focusing on the Construction, Engineering, and IT sectors.
Previously, Laurie was a teacher and has always enjoyed the challenge of educating others and actively pushing individuals to aim high and achieve the best possible outcome, both professionally and personally.
Her ability to listen and help hone in on the skills and qualifications needed to thrive in their aspiring industry allows Laurie to champion candidates for our international clients.
Laurie also holds a French Baccalaureate and spent most of her childhood living in the Rhone-Alps. This experience enables her to communicate with candidates and international clients in the region effectively to understand the overarching goal of the recruitment process and remove any delays caused by miscommunication.
Laurie is interested in winter sports, performing arts, food, languages, exercise, and wellbeing.
She has completed a degree in Film Studies & Creative Writing and frequently visits the local theatre.
Her interest in languages stems from the science behind them and understanding communication techniques is very intriguing for her. Laurie also speaks two languages fluently.
She aspires to travel to Whistler in Canada, as she has been a lifelong skier and lover of mountains, making Whistler an idyllic destination.
Exercise and wellbeing are something she takes part in regularly to counterbalance her love for food. Her favourite type is French cuisine, in particular, cheese, pastries, and bread.
