Insight & Technology Director/Procurement & Supply Chain Recruiter

Mark joined EMEA Recruitment in January 2021, initially leading the finance team in Switzerland. He later moved into an Insight and Technology role, ensuring that we develop the right service offering for international companies across Switzerland, the Netherlands and the Nordics.

As our Insight & Technology Director, Mark utilises his 28+ years of recruitment experience and data management skills to provide customers with real-time insights into the current employment market. He ensures EMEA Recruitment is well placed and prepared to deliver the high-quality recruitment services that our international customers need and expect in these rapidly changing times.

As technology has evolved, Mark has become more focused on utilising data to increase efficiency and achieve better outputs.

In August 2024, Mark and Emma Marshall spearheaded our newly tailored offering for the Dutch Procurement and Supply Chain profession. He joined a talented South Netherlands team, working alongside colleagues specialising in Finance & Accounting and Human Resources recruitment focussed on clients based south of Schipol. 

Mark’s Interests

Mark is naturally very interested in data and analysis. He also enjoys football, comedy, travelling and food.

Combining both travel and food, Mark’s ideal holiday destination is Thailand, as he is fond of the fantastic beaches.

EMEA Recruitment is supporting a leading international technology-led B2B company with the recruitment of a Strategic Buyer for its Utrecht Headquarters. This role requires fluent English and Dutch language skills. The company operates a hybrid work policy requiring three days in the office in Utrecht and two days working from home.

This position will have broad exposure across the business and will provide procurement services to a range of new and existing customer contracts.

You will be involved in all stages of the contract lifecycle, from the building of the proposal all the way through to completion, which could be up to 5 years.

Key responsibilities of the Strategic Buyer will include:
  • Lead tactical sourcing (from specification to supplier selection and performance management)
  • Manage procurement-related risk
  • Work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders
Skills/experience required:
  • Several years experience in strategic procurement, ideally IT or technology-related
  • Great communication skills
  • Fluent English and Dutch language skills
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach with a passion for developing experience and business understanding

EMEA Recruitment is supporting an international business in Rotterdam seeking an Interim Technical Buyer with fluent Dutch and English language skills for a 6-month period.

This role is available immediately and would suit someone with broad procurement knowledge and particular experience in CapEx procurement and its associated complexities. 

As the company embarks on a period of sustained growth it will be investing in additional and improved high-value equipment and therefore needs a procurement professional to support with the planning, research and procurement of this increased capital equipment.

Fluent Dutch and English language skills are essential for this role, as it involves significant interaction with colleagues across the business\'s operational areas.
