Our client, a multi-national supply chain leader, is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst for a pivotal role in the Risk Analyst team.

You will be a key stakeholder in the development process of the Risk department, working closely with your Risk colleagues and Head of Market Risk, with global exposure to a wide range of projects.

This is a crucial role in fostering the strategic value of Risk culture within the organization, while devoting time to areas that can benefit from your creativity.

Responsibilities of the Senior Risk Analyst

This role is primarily Market Risk focused, with overlaps to other areas: Commercial desk, Accounting, and IT.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily reporting and analysis of various volumetric Risk positions against position limits
  • Developing and improving systems and processes
  • Assist with monthly Accounting duties, verify market prices of positions daily and at month-end
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory limits
  • Assisting with the maintenance and update of group policies and procedures
  • Development of dashboards and datasets (including coordination with Business Intelligence)
  • Communication with field offices globally on Market Risk alignment

Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics/Econometrics/Quantitative Finance or similar
  • 4 years’ working experience in Market Risk or similar, with a knowledge of commodities
  • Advanced Excel experience, with a knowledge of VBA and Python preferable
  • Experience of data visualization software, such as Tableau, desirable
  • Understanding portfolio Risk management, key Risk measures, financial modelling, derivatives, and structured products
  • Affinity in handling datasets, data analysis and visualization interest in discovering market news and updates to international regulatory compliance
  • Proactive and investigative attitude, with good attention to detail, ability to lead processes alone
