Senior Internal Auditor

Job Description

My client is looking for a driven Audit professional with a strong focus on personal development to join their global audit team. This is a great opportunity to fast-track your career in audit and into senior leadership roles, working for a fast-paced, global business in the Basel area. 

As the Senior Internal Auditor, you'll be part of a dedicated and collaborative audit team that covers all aspects of Audit with high visibility to senior management. 

As a Senior Internal Auditor your role will include:

• Plan, execute, and finalize audits of assigned areas; develop into the Audit Manager position within approximately 12 months
• Lead and conduct internal audit assignments, including training and supervising team members
• Execute audit and advisory activities across various areas (e.g., Supply Chain, Sales, Production, Finance)
• Utilize advanced data analytics and IT infrastructure to optimize audit processes
• Strengthen governance, risk management, and control processes; follow up on audit recommendations and report to top management

Skills Required:

• BA/BSc, preferably in Finance/Accounting; a degree in Chemistry or similar is also welcome
• 3+ years of a mixture of internal and external audit experience, preferably in with manufacturing industries
• Excellent understanding of business processes and SAP environments (including S4H experience)
• Basic IT knowledge and competence in auditing operational and finance activities using special applications (e.g., Salesforce.com)
• Experience with international auditing standards; CIA preferred or to be completed after hire
• Good analytical skills, risk-focused and result-driven with strong communication and leadership abilities
