Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working exclusively with a large, international logistics client in its search for a Finance Manager, based in Amsterdam.

As a one-person team at holding company level, the Finance Manager will be entirely self-reliant, requiring dedication and the ability to handle working alone.

The role reports to the Managing Director. The Finance Manager will assume a critical role within the organisation, responsible for comprehensive financial management, accounting, and board material consolidation.

The successful candidate will work in tandem with asset-level teams to harmonise financial strategies and provide a central point for consolidated reporting and stakeholder communication.

As the Finance Manager, your role will include:
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the joint venture's goals and objectives
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including capital allocation, staffing requirements, and target financial returns
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with international accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage cashflow, liquidity, and working capital to optimise financial resources and assist with operational needs
  • Implement robust internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Develop annual board wheel and ensure it's adhered to and in line with regulatory requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field - master's degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA) is preferred
  • 7+ years as a Finance Manager or similar leadership role in a multi-national setting, preferably in joint venture or international investment environments
  • Strong understanding of international accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a proactive attitude
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Fluent English – Arabic would be an advantage, but not essential
