Job Description

My client, a leading international business, is seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager.

Managing a team of 6 and working with an innovative Managing Director, this role would suit a strong communicator with excellent management skills and the ability to multi-task and improve processes and service.


Responsibilities of the Customer Service Manager include:
  • Leading and coaching the Customer Service team
  • Maintaining and building strong and prosperous customer and supplier relationships
  • Preparing quotes, processing orders, purchasing and shipping together with the team
  • Assessing and developing team members with training and evaluations
  • Analysis of existing processes and introduce improvements
  • Create and implement KPIs with the team
Requirements:
  • Commercial or technical education at HBO level
  • More than 6 years’ experience in a similar role in a Customer Service department
  • Experience working in an international environment within manufacturing
  • Strong CRM software and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Fluent in Dutch and English

    EMEA Recruitment is working exclusively with a large, international manufacturing company in its search for a Planning and Logistics Manager, based in the Amsterdam area.

    The Planning and Logistics Manager will create a masterplan for warehousing and logistics, analyse the situation, and create long-term safety, capacity and improvement requirements.


    The successful candidate will be an active member of the management team, reporting to the Director Global Logistics, and managing three direct reports.

    The Planning and Logistics Manager will have multiple years of experience in leading and managing an S&OP process in conjunction with a manufacturing environment, and the ability to create and manage OPEX and FTE budgets throughout the year.

    As the Planning and Logistics Manager, your role will include:

    • Monitor, challenge, and assist the Warehousing team on safety, productivity, and on time delivery
    • Ensure formulation and execution of the approved preventive maintenance plan and troubleshooting service, identify required replacement or expansion of machinery, and formulate investment proposals for further approval
    • Conducts monthly S&OP process
    • Monitors stock levels and optimises batch sizing (Economic Production Quantities) and (cost) improvements
    • Collaborate with many different departments, e.g. Factory Logistics Managers, Sales organisations, R&D department, Operations team, Quality departments, Central Logistics, IT, etc.
    Requirements:
    • Higher HBO or degree (university) level
    • 8-10 years of relevant work experience complemented with applicable work experience in Operational Planning and Logistics roles

  • Head of Engineering
    €110,000 + 15% bonus
    We are currently looking to speak with an experienced Head of Engineering for our life sciences client based close to Bremen, Germany.

    This role will be instrumental in building up, establishing and optimising Engineering and Maintenance standards within a plant environment, while being a key site leadership role.
     
    Key responsibilities of the Head of Engineering include:
    • Managing the Engineering team and providing strong leadership in both 1-2-1 and group basis - acting as a coach, you will ensure team development to deliver on Engineering site requirements
    • Devising the Engineering and Continuous Improvement strategy for the site, to enable the delivery of operational and business objectives
    • Ensuring compliance of the factory planned maintenance systems for all Production departments
    • Ensuring safety of all electrical systems, services and buildings are in line with business requirements
    • Control the budgets for maintenance, service contracts and the upkeep of the factory
    • Encouraging the use of 6 ‘S’ and Lean principles within the team and work closely with the Head of Operational Excellence
    Ideally having operated in a Manufacturing environment, you will have prior experience of Engineering Management with a background in Engineering and be accustomed to operating in a high-volume Production environment in a senior leadership capacity.

    As Head of Engineering, additional requirements include:
    • Educated to degree or equivalent level, ideally in an Engineering discipline
    • Previous Manufacturing management experience (preferred in biotech or life sciences, 10+ years’ overall experience)
    • Strong communication skills when dealing with diverse, international stakeholders
    • Fluent in English and German - any other language would be an advantage
