Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working exclusively with our global client, a company operating in the logistics industry, in its search for a Finance Manager.

The post holder will report to the Vice-President Northern Europe and will be responsible for the overall Finance function of the Netherlands business.

The successful candidate will provide value-added financial, commercial and accounting support on the existing business and growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, including the ability to communicate successfully at all levels, thrive under pressure, and manage/inspire a team of finance professionals.


Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
  • Responsible for all the financial and accounting activities and providing timely and accurate information to management and external bodies
  • Understanding various cost movements and explaining the financials, cost impacts, revenue impacts and changes
  • Managing & handling the monthly and annual close process, including meeting all financial reporting deadlines and presenting the results to management, explaining all variances
  • Liaise, co-ordinate, support, explain and give information during the internal and external audit process and manage the full audit process
  • Complete budgeting at entity level and forecasting
  • Overseeing activities with external agencies such as banks, pension companies, tax authorities etc.
  • Providing financial support for pricing customer contracts.
Experience required:
  • Qualified Accountant (for example: RA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Knowledge of SUN, Hyperion and Vision Excel preferred
  • Experienced user of Excel
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience with managing and developing a team of professionals
  • Effective communication and social skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
