A strong focus of this position will be to advise on internal and external IFRS compliance within financial reporting.
This opportunity is well suited to an experienced people manager, with a passion for financial controlling, and acting as a strong Accounting Business Partner globally.

Responsibilities of the Director Financial Control:
- Reliable and IFRS compliant monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting to shareholder
- Accurate and timely monthly financial reporting to board of management and supervisory board
- Annual preparation of financial statements and sustainability reports
- Developing and maintaining the global business accounting manual
- Acting as a knowledgeable Accounting Business Partner for the businesses and functions
- Contributing to a J-SOX compliant control environment
- Managing the process around quarterly reviews and year-end audits by the auditor
Experienced required:
- A master’s degree in Accountancy, including a CPA certification or equivalent
- 15+ years of work experience in international business environments and/or audit firm (Big 4)
- Proven experience in financial reporting (incl. detailed knowledge of IFRS)
- Leadership and accountability
- Ability to influence stakeholders (e.g. board, senior management, business)
- Focus on people management and collaboration
- Excellent English language skills

Associate Director - Finance - Exclusive
EMEA Recruitment is pleased to be working exclusively with our global pharmaceutical client in its search for an Associate Director – Finance.
We are looking for a natural leader, managing a diverse and international team of Financial Analysts.
As part of this role - where you report to the Director of the organisation - you will manage and assist the team with all the activities that ensure proper obsolescence reserves are in place for inventories globally.
As this is a global Finance team, there will also be plenty of opportunity to be involved in company-wide projects, where the team plays a vital role having end-to-end oversight on IQVs.
Responsibilities of the Associate Director – Finance:- Manage and provide direction to a team of 4 Finance professionals
- Perform accounting activities for inventory obsolescence reserves in line with US GAAP
- Review of accounting discards and accurate reporting within internal reporting design for all regions
- Complete the monthly close functions with respect to IQV, which ensures inventory reserves are recorded timely within the appropriate close deadlines
- Provide accurate and timely support to business partners, addressing functional stakeholder inquiries
- Advise and assist senior management in business decisions
- Maintain the control environment at the highest standard and participate in various internal and external audits
- Identify and follow up on process improvement from an end-to-end scenario
- Maintain and reconcile inventory account balances related to the business processes between the general ledger and SAP to ensure alignment for all regions
