Job Description

We’re currently looking for a Procurement Controller on behalf of our client, an established, international manufacturing company that truly values heritage and experience, and uses this to drive forward sustainable best practices supporting internal and external stakeholders, safety and the environment for a better future.

We are currently recruiting a Procurement Controller to join its centralised Finance function, reporting to the Divisional CFO and working as part of a key team in this global business.

Acting as business partner to the Global Procurement Manager, you will focus on CAPEX manufacturing equipment and maintenance, cleaning, clothing, fleet and various overhead costs to help realize financial objectives through budgeting, planning and tracking of financial performance.

You will play a pivotal role in the aspiring growth and optimization plans of the business.

Responsibilities of the Procurement Controller:

  • Preparing and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, planning and month-end close across 25 locations
  • Analyzing and reviewing business performance and identifying risks and opportunities
  • Scenario planning to identify best actions to achieve Finance objectives
  • Review, question and optimize diverse project business cases
  • Assisting with business case development and decision support for strategic initiatives
  • Driving process improvement initiatives to ensure best practice
  • Internal stakeholder management
  • Supporting ad-hoc activities and projects within the Finance function

Ideal profile:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent industry experience 
  • 8+ years’ relevant experience
  • Relevant manufacturing or production industry experience
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • A keen eye for detail and strong communication skills
  • Hands-on approach to your work and leads by example
  • High level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility
