Business Controller

Job Description

Our client, a global supply chain leader connecting producers and consumers, has an amazing opportunity for a Business Partner/Business Controller.

This role offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself within the business, servicing multiple stakeholders across this well-respected international business.

You will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of the financial results, working with the Trade & Operations teams, and the group (Accounting) reporting department.

Responsibilities of the Business Controller

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and control monthly results, analyse logistics-related results
• Responsible for the month close
• Analyse mark to market valuations
• Reconcile positions with third party statements
• Support the business with financial challenges
• Actively participate in (IT) projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounting & Reporting processes

Experience required

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Economics, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
• 3-5 years’ experience with the title of Business Partner/Business Controller
• Excellent knowledge of IT applications, and the ability of integrating and developing the use of systems with compliance responsibilities
• Accurate, team player, strong sense of responsibility
• Curiosity and willingness to learn the company’s business
• Fluent in English (both verbally and in writing), with proficient Dutch
