Project Controller - Exclusive

EMEA Recruitment has exclusively partnered with our international engineering client in its search for a Project Controller to join its centralised finance team near Amsterdam.
 
In this position, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day financial and business control activities for large turnkey projects.

The successful candidate will have proven technical expertise working with PoC Accounting and IFRS15. You will also have strong analytical skills with a "right first time" attitude.

Responsibilities of the Project Controller:

• Updating actuals and forecasts for your project portfolio
• Month end activities and reporting for your projects
• Managing outstanding purchase orders and ensuring timely invoicing
• Supporting tender processes
• Manage annual budgeting process and tracking budget performance 
• Act as a business partner in identifying risks and opportunities 
• Monthly project review meetings and management reporting
• Stakeholder management across your projects 
• Continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures
• Ad hoc projects e.g. support new system implementations 

Experience required:

• HBO education in Accounting, Business, Finance or a similar field
• 5+ years of experience working in Project PoC Accounting or a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS15
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerBI
• Effective communication and social skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Fluent English
