Job Description

My client, a large organisation within B2B retail, is recruiting a Senior Category Manager Logistics. You will support the Procurement team with the sourcing of logistics contracts globally.

As Senior Category Manager Logistics, you will manage a variety of subcategories and we are open to applicants with experience of purchasing within 3PL/4PL setups or direct air, ocean or road freight.

This position will not directly cover warehousing spend and prior experience of warehousing whilst beneficial will not be essential.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with the following skillset and experience:
  • Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in Procurement at a strategic level
  • Experience managing logistics procurement internationally within the last 2 years, ideally for long-distance routes especially moving products from Asia to Europe and/or the US
  • Operational experience in purchasing of ocean freight or container shipping or negotiating with shipping lines would be highly desirable
  • Strong problem solver with previous experience managing through SC disruptions is highly desirable
  • Must have proven experience in strategic procurement/category management
  • Fluent English is essential – Polish is beneficial
