Job Description

My client, a FMCG business, is looking to recruit a Lead Buyer – E-Logistics to assist with the procurement of efficient, customer-focused logistics solutions for the global e-commerce business arm.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders in the B2C and e-commerce fields to understand business operations models and logistics needs, and then navigate the supplier market to ensure that the best possible solutions are sourced and implemented as part of the wider strategic Logistics Procurement team.
  • You will be responsible for engaging with business stakeholders within B2C, Supply Chain and E-commerce to gather business requirements to develop excellent procurement strategies for logistics solutions
  • Source suitable suppliers and manage their ongoing service delivery
  • Manage strategic procurement activities from RFQs/sourcing through to contract negotiations and ongoing supplier relationship management
  • Be able to positively influence stakeholders and strategic decisions projects to achieve optimal results for the business units
For this Global Lead Buyer – E-Logistics role, we are looking for a high calibre candidate with the following skillset:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a business discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in continual improvements, process excellence or transformation projects within Supply Chain Logistics is highly desirable
  • Experience within designing or procuring logistics solutions within an e-commerce setting is essential
  • Strong knowledge of global distribution options – in particular, experience engaging with large international 3PL providers
  • Highly consultative and able to contribute to long-term strategy to deliver tangible business impact
  • Fluent English is essential – other languages beneficial
