As the Head of Accounting for our leading global chemical client, you will take on an influential and critical role in overseeing financial operations, including the Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Pension activities for five active legal entities in Sweden.
In this leadership position, you will be involved in deciding the business strategy and be responsible for building and nurturing a successful Swedish Accounting team through coaching and development.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Accounting:
Ensure strict compliance with international/statutory GAAP and SOX requirements within accounting processes
Drive the automation of interfaces with outsourced service providers, and the automation and streamlining of the company's monthly closing process
Ensure timely, stable, and reliable reporting to the company's Corporate HQ and regional management systems
Annual audit and statutory reporting process for all legal entities in Sweden
Handle the filing of tax returns and maintain a favorable tax position
Take ownership of the balance sheet
Conduct risk reviews in collaboration with other parts of the organization
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Experience in a leadership and Accounting position in a large international industrial company
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations and a strong interest in the development of accounting processes
Experience with different international GAAPs, BI tools and SOX is an advantage
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP), and Excel
Proficient in English and Swedish
Analytical, structured, and collaborative team player who is willing to deliver results
