EMEA Recruitment is delighted to be working with our international manufacturer client in its search for an experienced Accountant based in Stockholm, Sweden.

This opportunity is for a professional who is immediately available and is looking for an exciting and challenging project, as you will be focusing on an important plant.

This is a fixed-term contract (circa six months), with the possibility of extension.

Our client offers a flexible working environment and the possibility to work from home.

Duties of the Accountant:

  • Analyzing and preparing: monthly accounting entries (accruals, reclassifications, prepaid expenses, fixed assets); monthly balance sheet account reconciliations; and quarterly/annual reports for group reporting
  • Statutory audit and financial statement/disclosure preparation

Profile:

  • A background in general accounting principles, including intercompany, fixed assets, inventories, leases, receivables/payables, and accruals
  • Experience of financial reporting activities, particularly in financial statement preparation, accounts reconciliation, and management reporting packages
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and/or Swedish GAAP
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, while still adhering to set deadlines and timelines
  • A strong understanding of Swedish culture

  • Senior Controller – Northern Europe Operations & Strategic Projects

    The Senior Controller will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial performance across several sites in Europe. In addition, you will be the finance business partner of strategic growth projects.

    Responsibilities of the Senior Controller:
    • Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes, working with various departments to set budgets and financial targets
    • Analyse financial performance against the budget and provide actionable insights to management
    • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement
    • Act as a strategic partner to the business, providing financial support and guidance to different departments, including Production, Purchasing, and Project Management
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, presentations, and analysis for senior management and stakeholders
    • Develop project budgets in collaboration with project managers and finance teams
    Experience required:
    • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
    • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience as a Business Controller, Financial Analyst, or a similar role
    • Experience working in either an industrial, manufacturing, or plant environment
    • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Effective communication and social skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
