Job Description

We are recruiting for a Procurement Manager - Pharmaceuticals for our client based in their Basel offices. You must be fluent in German. 

As the Procurement Manager, you'll be responsible for managing operational site procurement, leading and developing a small purchasing team.

You will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, and Quality Management to ensure a reliable supply of raw materials and other site requirements across R&D labs and manufacturing environments.

As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing all site procurement of direct materials, IM&S, OPEX and CAPEX
  • Manage the operational and tactical procurement team
  • Optimize procurement processes
  • Manage contracts with suppliers and place orders
  • Maintain data in the ERP system to ensure strong material planning and demand forecasting
We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with the following skillset and experience:
  • Fluent in German & English
  • Ideally degree educated
  • Must have 2+ years' previous Procurement experience in a labs or manufacturing environment
