Job Description

Our client, a global leader in their industry, is seeking a Plant Finance Manager to manage all aspects of financial controlling, reporting, and analysis for its site. This pivotal role demands a thorough understanding of business operations and active participation as a member of the site management team.

The role will manage a small onsite team, with further accounting support from an SSC and report directly to the Plant General Manager.

As the Plant Finance Manager, your role will include:
  • Manage plant controlling and accounting departments, ensuring accurate financial reporting and monthly closings per US GAAP and Swiss law
  • Coordinate with Shared Service Centre for financial processes and lead budget reviews, including preparation and presentation
  • Promote and enforce governance, internal controls, and compliance across the plant
  • Develop processes for effective tracking, risk management, and alignment of forecasts with business goals
  • Support commercial team with pricing, contract reviews, and margin improvement; analyse customer margin data
  • Collaborate on CAPEX projects and provide financial leadership for strategic planning and operational strategy

Qualifications:

  • Professional Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Knowledge of Swiss Finance Legislation and Accounting Principles
  • Experience in a SAP environment and manufacturing industry is advantageous or within a professional accounting firm
  • Demonstrable business and commercial acumen
  • Strong analytical, IT, and people management skills
  • Result-oriented with excellent communication skills in English and advanced German
