The main responsibilities of the Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting are:
Cost management excellence: Drive the budgeting and forecasting cycles with a sharp eye on cost control, collaborating with managers to produce detailed plans that reinforce fiscal discipline and operational growth
Analytical vigilance: Perform in-depth monthly variance analysis, focusing on cost deviations, and furnish executive management with insightful presentations that unravel financial trends and operational cost drivers
Margin analysis and optimisation: Work closely with business partners to dissect and optimise margins, delivering variance analysis from revenue through to manufacturing and operational expenditures, ensuring alignment with profitability targets
Strategic cost control support: Empower business partners with financial strategies aimed at reinforcing cost efficiency across product lines, services, and long-term financial planning, assisting with margin expansion and productivity initiatives
Process improvement and reporting: Elevate the FP&A function by enhancing reporting mechanisms, responding to business queries with accuracy, and driving process optimisation initiatives within the financial domain
Candidate profile:
Educational foundation: A master's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline - Accounting qualification preferred
Professional experience: Good level of experience in Accounting or FP&A, with experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting, preferably with exposure to a LEAN environment
Analytical skills: Robust analytical and problem-solving competencies, complemented by a high degree of precision
Regulatory proficiency: Well-versed in US GAAP and/or IFRS with the capacity to demystify complex principles for diverse stakeholders
Technical mastery: Exceptional abilities in MS Excel, SAP, and familiarity with Accounting or planning software are critical - Power BI knowledge is advantageous
