EMEA Recruitment has partnered with a rapidly growing, global FMCG business, seeking a Senior Director of Operational Excellence & Strategic Projects to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all operational functions.
The Senior Director of Operational Excellence & Strategic Projects will continuously improve ways of working to build and sustain the company’s operational processes. Introduce enhanced capabilities and performance across the E2E supply chain to deliver the business strategy.
You will have experience in leading Global Strategic Projects, driving value to the total Business, and enhancing E2E Integrated Supply Chain performance.
This role is based in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Main responsibilities of the Senior Director of Operational Excellence & Strategic Projects:
Design, develop and drive implementation of the long-term strategic global operational Excellence program with foundational blocks for basic to advanced implementation stages
Identify and execute continuous improvement plans, delivering financial and non-financial impacts to the operations function.
Identify, prioritize and own strategic projects and initiatives that deliver the organization's strategic objectives and elevate supply chain performance
Design, develop, update, and communicate operational policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a standard way of performing and running operations for the company
Assess the skills and capabilities of the operations team and identify areas for development to enhance performance & effectiveness to implement appropriate training programs, workshops, or initiatives
Collaborate with Global Manufacturing and operations teams, to deploy the excellence agenda, working alongside site and cross-functional leaders to ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the life-cycle excellence footprint
Candidate Requirements:
10-15 years of experience in Operations Management, process improvement, project management, or related roles
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or an advanced degree is preferred
Proven experience in leading change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of process improvements and capability development initiatives
Understanding and implementation of lean manufacturing work practices including 5S, AM and problem-solving (including root cause analysis) to drive and sustain continuous improvement
