Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is currently searching for a Head of Product Development & Formula Optimisation in collaboration with our FMCG client.

Your responsibilities as the Head of Production Development & Formula Optimisation include:
  • Drive the expansion of product offerings into international markets while ensuring compliance with regional requirements and cost-effective production
  • Lead formulation optimisation opportunities globally
  • Conduct in-depth market research to understand consumer preferences, regulatory requirements, and consumer nuances in target regions, and thus guide product development decisions
  • Lead the creation and optimisation of product formulations that are tailored to the specific requirements of each market, ensuring product quality and safety
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to guarantee consistent product quality and safety
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance in international markets, customer feedback, and make necessary improvements to product formulas and development processes
  • Lead and develop the Product Development, Formula Optimisation and R&D team
For this Head of Product Development & Formula Optimisation role, we are looking for candidates ideally with the following skill set:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field such as Food Science, Chemistry, or Engineering
  • 10+ years' experience in Product Development, Formula Optimisation, or related roles, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and cross-functional team
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve product offering
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Awareness of global market dynamics and consumer differences, as well as the ability to adapt product offerings accordingly
  • Fluent in English; any other language would be advantageous
