Job Description

Our client, a growing business in the FMCG sector, seeks an Procurement Director Raw Materials for their European hub based in Lucerne to drive forward their strategic growth plans across EMEA and additional regions.

 

As Procurement Director Raw Materials, you will operate in a senior leadership capacity growing the team, leading the cost management, packaging and ingredient purchasing strategy for our global FMCG client.

 

Reporting directly to the Head of Direct Procurement, the Procurement Director Raw Materials will drive and develop the sourcing structure and strategy across both raw and packaging categories.

 

You will ensure risk mitigation and contingency sourcing plans are in place and work closely with the Finance and Supply Chain departments to ensure continuity. Evaluating and monitoring existing suppliers, identifying new potential suppliers and negotiating and agreeing terms and conditions will be key focal areas.

 

As Procurement Director Raw Materials we are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skill sets:

  • Ideally, 9+ years’ experience in the management of procurement processes and activities within the FMCG industry
  • Experience of developing a strong supplier base through competent influencing and negotiating
  • Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is mandatory
