For this role, my client is seeking someone with a background within an audit firm.

As a Senior Accountant, your role will include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with industry standards
• Managing financial bookkeeping
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and detailed analyses
• Contributing to the preparation of tax returns and maintaining tax compliance
• Conducting technical accounting analysis in alignment with global standards
• Assisting in internal control initiatives and documentation

Skills required:

• Strong foundational education in Finance and Accounting, complemented by advanced qualifications such as CPA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent
• Background in a professional audit firm
• Proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Sound knowledge of balance sheets, financial statements, and VAT regulations
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP and accounting systems (SAP is a plus)
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English
