Job Description

My client, a leading engineering projects firm, is looking for an experienced Project Purchasing Manager to support the procurement of specialist equipment, services and materials for its large international projects within the engineering projects space.

As the Project Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Full cycle procurement for turnkey categories across multiple international projects
  • Negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships through to delivery
  • Securing unique products, services and engineered solutions
  • Ensuring the availability of required products and services in line with project deadlines
  • Tactical Procurement with spends from 100K-10Mil EUR per contract

We are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:

  • Ideally, degree qualified (academics within engineering or scientific fields would be highly desirable)
  • Preferably, 10+ years’ experience within Procurement
  • Ideally, 5+ years’ experience exclusively within the greenfield or EPC space, supporting technically complex infrastructure or build projects
  • Experience in the following sectors would be highly desirable: O&G, oil extraction, petrochemical/chemical/pharmaceutical production (new site CAPEX) or civil construction & mining/minerals (large greenfield projects)
  • Must have experience dealing with suppliers of turnkey solutions/tailored products
  • International Supply Chain experience – having purchased internationally and supported projects internationally
  • Confident in working closely with project managers and engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Fluent English is essential, other languages beneficial
