Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Thurgau, Switzerland is seeking a talented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in procurement and negotiation at a local site level, and be fluent in both English and German.
Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist:
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
Analyse market trends to identify potential new suppliers
Collaborate with internal departments, including production and finance, to forecast demand
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Fluent in both German and English is essential
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
