EMEA Recruitment is working with our global logistics client in its search for an Accountant to join them for a six-month fixed-term contract.
The Accountant will report into the Finance Manager responsible for the UK and Ireland.
Your primary role will be to manage all financial functions of assigned responsibility for the activities associated with the day-to-day operations and expansion of department initiatives.
We are looking for a strong professional who will be responsible for a 360 view of the financial activities of the country, starting with Accounting and expanding to all fields of Finance.
Responsibilities of the Accountant:
  • Responsible for complete and accurate statements on Aging Accounts receivable
  • Supervise the disputes by liaising with the Operations team and provide timely updates on resolution
  • Single point of contact with collection agencies
  • Responsible for complete and accurate financial statements (P&L and balance sheet)
  • Post the entries into the GL
  • Verify and enter the vendor invoices into the operational system
  • Assess best solutions for Treasury-related issues
  • Assist the Finance Manager on ad-hoc financial requests
  • Act as a business partner to the Operations management team
Experience required:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance or Accounting and/or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years’ work experience in Accounting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willing and capable to take initiatives, problem-solving attitude
  • Advanced Excel skills

    The Senior Accountant will be Finance team based in their European HQ, responsible for the day-to-day Accounting activities and reconciliation of payroll of the general ledger at a regional level.
