Job Description

In collaboration with our client, we are searching for a Category Manager with experience in sourcing raw materials to join their global team based in Zug. This role will be responsible for driving category strategy and procurement excellence.

As Category Manager - Raw Materials, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing regional category strategies, aligning with local stakeholders and procurement teams
  • Leading sourcing initiatives, including supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract management
  • Managing supplier relationships, addressing claims, and ensuring quality standards in procurement processes
  • Collaborating closely with global and regional management to drive cost efficiency and optimise supplier performance
  • Conducting market analysis, managing category analytics, and supporting the budgeting process with cost insights
  • Coordinating supplier performance reviews to deliver ongoing value improvements and support the organisation’s growth mindset
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of procurement experience in strategic and tactical procurement, ideally within the raw materials category and FMCG industry
  • Expertise in Source-to-Pay processes, TCO analysis, and contract negotiation
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work across functions and virtual teams
