Our client, a global leader in the service, is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Accounting Manager to join our vibrant team in Zurich, Switzerland.

This position resides within a busy, global division where Finance meets innovation and culture.

As an integral part of the team, you'll have the opportunity to lead, inspire, and enhance accounting processes, playing a pivotal role in driving financial success and operational excellence. 

As an Accounting Manager, your role will include:

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and motivate a diverse team of 3-5 junior and senior accountants, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily accounting operations, ensuring meticulous execution of tasks, and spearhead the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closing and reporting processes with precision
  • Strategic Influence: Act as a change agent within the organization, leading process improvements, implementing global best practices, and working closely with the business and key stakeholders to support informed decision-making and financial planning
  • Communication and Compliance: Regularly produce and present comprehensive financial reports and statements, liaise with external advisers and auditors, and manage tax and compliance across various jurisdictions, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial information

About You:

  • Educated and Experienced: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced Accounting degree (ACCA, CPA, Swiss WP, or equivalent) is advantageous. 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting and/or Audit, demonstrating a track record of financial management and team leadership
  • A Leader and a Team Player: With proven managerial skills, you're capable of leading a team towards achieving excellence in all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, inspiring your team members to grow and excel
  • Innovative and Proactive: You have a keen eye for identifying process improvement opportunities and the initiative to implement solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy across financial operations
  • Global Mindset with Local Expertise: Your ability to navigate and manage tax and compliance issues across different jurisdictions, combined with your excellent communication skills, makes you adept at dealing with complex financial landscapes and diverse teams
