Job Description

In collaboration with our client, an international player in the manufacturing industry, we are seeking a Head of Supplier Quality to be based in Zurich, Switzerland.

This is a newly formed role with the remit to build the Supplier Quality area.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Supplier Quality include:
  • Improve both internal and external Quality procedures
  • Manage and develop a team of circa 5 direct reports in the Supplier Quality and Supplier Development areas
  • Truly own the Supplier Quality and Supplier Development area alongside establishing a robust Quality Management System
  • Lead supplier audits, evaluation, processes and system alignment
  • Monitor the quality and stability of suppliers and related supplier classification
  • Constructively assess, influence and build partnerships with new and existing suppliers
  • Create new processes within a new organisation within the business, develop team members and establish Supplier Quality Management
  • Hold a key understanding of the parts and machinery associated with the business production
For this Head of Supplier Quality role, we are looking for high-calibre leaders with the following skill sets:
  •  Educated to Degree or equivalent level
  • Experience in the manufacturing or machinery industry with deep knowledge of the associated regulations
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in speaking German to an advanced level would be advantageous
  • Ideally have a background in supplier quality management with a preference for experience in manufacturing and/or machining processes
  • A Project Management certification and experience in leading various projects would be desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to influence and engage with senior leaders and engage in Supplier negotiations
