EMEA Recruitment is exclusively working with a leading global manufacturer of high-quality sporting goods in its search for a Local Finance Manager to join their team in Uppsala, Sweden. 

In this role, you will work closely with the Managing Director to streamline financial operations, optimize budget allocation, and capitalize on business opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the finance team and overseeing all financial aspects of the local business, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support growth initiatives.

This position provides the chance to work closely with a globally recognized company, gaining valuable experience in finance management, and implementing best practices in financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities of the Local Finance Manager:
  • Implementing and monitoring internal controls to mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding company assets
  • Implementing and improving financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Analyzing financial data to provide insights for decision-making and strategic planning
  • Managing cash flow and optimizing working capital to support business objectives
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, and tax authorities
  • Ensuring compliance with local GAAP and statutory reporting requirements
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Conducting financial analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting to provide insights into business performance and support decision-making processes

Experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting roles, preferably in a multi-national company
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (i.e. SAP), with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of local tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Fluent in English and Swedish
