Are you a seasoned Accounting leader with a strong track record in managing cross-border teams and statutory compliance across the DACH region?

A global business is seeking an experienced Cluster Accounting Controller to take ownership of Accounting and Financial Compliance across multiple legal entities in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

This is a senior manager-level position based in Cologne, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, matrix environment and brings a collaborative yet structured approach to financial leadership.


The Regional Accounting Controller role:

  • Full responsibility for Accounting and Finance operations across seven entities in the DACH region
  • Oversee the accuracy and compliance of all Accounting transactions under IFRS and HGB for each legal entity
  • Lead a cross-border team of five (3 in Warsaw and 2 local), ensuring strong communication and performance across locations
  • Coordinate annual financial statements and act as the lead for external audits, including managing auditor relationships and addressing tax authority queries
  • Ensure high-quality balance sheet and P&L reporting, working proactively with global and local stakeholders
  • Review and control Accounting entries and identify and resolve Accounting issues as they arise
  • Take ownership of process improvement and standardization initiatives, ensuring robust and efficient Financial operations
  • Act as a key interface across the business – liaising with Business Controllers, Sales, Supply Chain, Site Management, and more
About you:
  • 15–20+ years of experience in Financial Accounting and Controlling within international organizations
  • Deep understanding of HGB and German Tax/Accounting legislation
  • Proven experience in managing remote teams and navigating cross-functional Finance environments (preferably with Shared Services or GBS interaction)
  • Strong stakeholder communication and audit management skills
  • Fluent in German and confident in English, with the ability to liaise with non-German-speaking leadership

An internationally active firm based in Zug is seeking an experienced and pragmatic Finance Director to lead a small Finance function.

This is a key leadership role with both operational and strategic responsibilities, reporting directly to the CFO.

Main responsibilities of the Finance Director:

  • Lead and support a small Finance team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

  • Take ownership of internal and external reporting, planning cycles, and financial oversight

  • Ensure full compliance with local and international Accounting standards

  • Drive improvements in processes, controls, and reporting systems

Your profile:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar - further qualifications (e.g. CPA, master’s) welcome

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including team leadership

  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and Swiss Accounting practices

  • Confident user of SAP (S/4HANA ideal) - exposure to BI tools is a plus

  • Strong communicator with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset

  • Comfortable in a lean, fast-moving environment

  • Fluent in English - German advantageous
