As CFO, you will be working closely with the CEO through investor meetings and the COO to further develop the sales pipeline, playing a fundamental role in the growth of the company.
This great opportunity has the feasibility to grow into a full-time role within a year.
Please note a background working with software companies and fundraising experience is a must.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company\'s financial strategy in alignment with business objectives, driving growth, profitability, and sustainability
Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation
Establish and maintain financial controls and processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation strategies to optimize financial performance and support business operations and expansion
Oversee financial reporting and analysis, providing timely and accurate financial insights to senior management, investors, and stakeholders
Experience:
Series A fundraising experience
Software industry background
Excellent project management capabilities

EMEA Recruitment is working with a leading engineering and manufacturing company based in the heart of Gelderland that is looking to recruit a dynamic, proactive and hands-on Finance Controller to join the team.
Working for this fantastic organisation, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager on key strategic business decisions (finance-related) and in some cases, act as a number two to support the growth and development of this region.
Whilst this business is part of a large group generating hundreds of millions of Euros, it is important to recognise that you will be working for a small legal entity. Whilst you will interact with shared service stakeholders, you will be working in a very small finance team and therefore this position requires you to be hands-on at all times.
This position will suit someone who has worked as a Finance Controller or Head of Finance/Finance Director for a smaller entity that is looking to work for a progressive and growing organisation, where you will have full control and autonomy of all finance activities.
Key Accountabilities:
Managing the entire Finance Department in an efficient manner (team of two)
Lead 1-2-1s, appraisals and performance reviews
Manage & oversee all activities related to credit control, bank guarantees, payroll and end-of-year reporting
Full use of SAP systems, Hyperion and PowerBI for all financial activities
To prepare, develop and analyse key financial reports to ensure that management makes well-informed decisions ensuring business stability, growth and profitability
Month-end reporting, VAT returns and liaising with third-party government organisations
Preparing forecasts and overseeing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and manage transfer pricing
The Finance Controller will also be responsible for process improvement
Creating weekly, monthly quarterly and annual reports
Candidate Requirements:
An expert Finance Controller, Head of Finance or Finance Director
Ideal sectors include engineering, manufacturing, and production however, we are open to considering applicants from any industry
Bachelor\'s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred
The suitable applicant will have experience working with ERP (SAP preferred), Hyperion and Power BI
Fluent in English and ideally Dutch
Based or commutable to Gelderland – Netherlands
The client is offering the following package:
€65,000 - €80,000
Bonus – up to €7,000 per annum
8% holiday pay
€300 per annum working from home allowance
Pension scheme – 5% matched
Hybrid working – 1 day per week working from home
Up to 25 days vacation
