Job Description
EMEA Recruitment is working with an international client in its search for an Accountant to join its team in the Amsterdam area.In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with Dutch accounting standards and regulations.
As the Accountant, you will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual finance statements, and analyse financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member, work cross-functionally, help optimise processes, and have a proactive approach with an analytical mind.
Responsibilities of the Accountant:
- Ensure compliance with Dutch accounting standards and regulations
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities as needed
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct audits and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Utilize accounting software and tools effectively
Experience required:
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
- Thorough understanding of Dutch auditing standards and regulations
- Strong understanding of Accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to adapt and meet deadlines
- Fluent English
