Senior Accountant

Job Description

We’re currently recruiting a Senior Accountant on behalf of our client, a well-respected, international organisation operating in the professional services industry.

The Senior Accountant will be working closely with the country Finance Manager and play an important role in the finance organisation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Support the Finance Manager in the period closing process, including reconciliation or balance sheet and P&L
• Support financial reporting in line with local GAAP and IFRS
• Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries
• Manage intercompany reconciliations
• Fixed assets accounting
• Post and reconcile banking transactions
• Controlling AR/AP transactions
• Assist in tax return preparation

Requirements:

• Educational background in finance, accounting or similar discipline
• Bilanzbuchhalter IHK or similar qualification
• 6+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong practical knowledge of HGB
• High work ethic and sense of responsibility
• Fluency in German
• Strong level of English
