Job Description

My client, a large global business in the FMCG sector, seeks a Category Manager - IT & Corporate Functions.

As Category Manager - IT & Corporate Functions, you will be responsible for assisting Procurement across a variety of centralised indirect categories.

You will lead IT sourcing, while supporting HR, Car Fleet, Consulting, Marketing, and Travel spend areas.

My client is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced buyer to expand their horizons in a truly global role (with a significant operating presence across all continents), strategically managing a variety of key indirect service categories.

The successful candidate will therefore be an excellent communicator, with the ability to positively engage multi-national teams, internal stakeholders and suppliers.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with the following skillset and experience:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent level
  • Ideally 4+ years of experience within Indirect Procurement at a strategic level
  • Experience in dealing directly with suppliers – confident in sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier delivery
  • High level of PC literacy and familiarity with digital Procurement tools
  • Fluent English is essential - other languages are beneficial
