Job Description

My client, a manufacturing business with international operations, is currently looking for a Head of Finance to oversee both Accounting and Controlling teams. 

This would be a great opportunity for someone with a strong technical Accounting background to take the next step in their career. 

You would report to the CFO and play a pivotal role driving continuous improvement of processes and systems for the business.

The company has had strong financial results over the last quarters and is looking to take the business to the next level.

As the Head of Finance, your role will include:

• Responsible for the management of Financial Accounting team, including general ledger accounting, accounts receivable/payable management and payment transactions
• Leadership of the Controlling team
• Main point of contact for auditors and responsibility for monthly closing
• Continual process optimisation within Accounting and Controlling
• Ensure compliance with internal controls
• Assist with a range of ad-hoc projects

Skills required:

• Completed studies in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on Finance and Accounting or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting in a management position
• Deep knowledge in the areas of Accounting, taxes and financial management
• Experience with the preparation of financial reports and presentation of results
• Excellent analytical skills
• Very good communication skills
• German and English - fluent spoken and written
