Finance Manager - Exclusive
Job Description
EMEA Recruitment is working with our international client in its search for a Finance Manager to join their team in the Amsterdam area.In this role, you oversee day-to-day Accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, and reconciliation processes.
The Finance Manager will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
The successful candidate will monitor and report on the effectiveness of the compliance program to senior management and the board of directors, and plan/coordinate audit engagements, including resource allocation and scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Lead audit teams in performing fieldwork, including testing of controls and substantive procedures
- Identify and communicate audit findings, including recommendations for improvement
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in accordance with Dutch laws and regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal, finance, and operations teams, to ensure alignment of compliance efforts
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and other management reports for senior management and stakeholders
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to optimize financial performance
- Stay up-to-date on changes in financial regulations and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant requirements
Experience required:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Thorough understanding of Dutch auditing standards and regulations
- Strong understanding of Accounting principles
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to adapt and meet deadlines
- Fluent English
