We are currently working exclusively on a Senior Accountant role on behalf of our client, a mid-size consumer goods company with a culture that promotes independent working and allows people to learn/develop through their own initiatives.
The business is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join its local office in Warsaw, with the possibility to work remotely a few times a week.
The role reports to the Regional Chief Accountant and will suit a driven person who is looking to grow professionally and broaden their Finance knowledge.
Some of the essential duties and responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
- Posting all intercompany transactions
- Support the month/year-end close process
- Preparation of payments in banking systems
- Month-end closing activities in line with local and US GAAP
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in the process of corporate and statutory year-end closing/audit
- Support for all statutory filings in Poland
- Assist with tax audits
- Identifying potential process improvements
In order to fulfil the requirements of the position, it is envisaged the candidate should have the following skillset and experience:
- University degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting
- Good knowledge of Polish tax regulations
- Accuracy, reliability and sense of responsibility
- Quickly adapts to changing environments
- Good knowledge of SAP is a must
- Fluency in Polish and English
- Excellent communication and social skills
