Job Description

EMEA Recruitment has exclusively partnered with a private equity-backed multi-national organisation in Amsterdam to find a Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager.

Working towards future IPO, this manufacturing business offers a clearly defined progression path and an exciting role scope for the successful applicant.

The Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager will have responsibility for driving the financial closing process for the group and business units, as well as the creation, implementation and maintenance of new accounting and reporting guidelines or procedures.

The responsibilities of the Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager will include:
  • Act as IFRS accounting subject matter expert
  • Review accounting processes and procedures to identify areas of improvement
  • Advise the business on the appropriate application of IFRS principles on complex transactions
  • Analyse the quality and content of balance sheets and statements of income from an IFRS point of view
  • Manage the testing of internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX
  • Drive standard monthly closing procedure
  • Implementation of new IFRS standards and provide training
  • Updating corporate accounting manual

Requirements:
  • Accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in IFRS Accounting and Reporting
  • Big 4 background
  • Proven experience in advising a business on complex accounting treatments
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • SAP knowledge preferred
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
