Job Description

My client, an innovative international medical manufacturer, is looking to add a Global Senior Buyer - Direct Materials to its team within the electronics department.

The successful Global Senior Buyer will ideally have an electronics or medical device/biotech industry background. You must be fluent in the German language.

Your responsibilities as the Global Senior Buyer - Direct Materials:
  • Purchasing innovative electrical components and materials in line with the specified costs, quality, regulations and delivery targets
  • Responsible for the whole Operational Procurement process from the R&D phase/release of the product, to the delivery of the product
  • Negotiate with relevant suppliers on quality, single source product suppliers and logistical aspects due to niche materials/products and seek opportunities with suppliers to improve business terms adding cost savings where possible
  • Interface between internal customers and suppliers
  • Maintenance of ERP systems (Microsoft 365) and responsibility for ensuring material availability

Key Skills/Experience:
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Relevant Purchasing or Supply Chain degree (desirable, not essential)
  • Several years of experience in an operational environment within the industrial or manufacturing industry
  • Experienced with ERP system: Microsoft Dynamics 365
