Our client, a growing business in the FMCG sector, is seeking a Logistics Buyer to join its newly-established European hub based in Zug.
As the Logistics Buyer, you will be involved with regional sourcing activities; liaising with logistics suppliers, analysing vendors, negotiating contracts and managing suppliers in line with the business growth.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Logistics Procurement, you will ideally have solid experience within a Logistics Sourcing environment, which will include expertise in consolidating fragmented spend and sourcing new providers.
Key responsibilities of the Logistics Buyer include:
Managing strategic supplier direction, qualifications and capabilities to both extend and expand supply base
Understanding the logistics category, analysing the market, preparing sourcing strategy, using RFP process, negotiating, implementing and tracking results
Providing forward-looking guidance on trends, risks and opportunities throughout the complete value/supply chain
As the Logistics Buyer, we are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skillset:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Ideally 5+ years’ experience in a Logistics Procurement role
Ability to identify, understand and give priority to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers
Previous FMCG industry experience is essential
Fluent in English
