GL Accountant

Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is delighted to be working with an international B2C business in its search for an Accountant to join their growing General Ledger team. 

Working closely with the Head of General Ledger, you will be responsible for managing the general accounting of the group and subsidiaries.

Duties of the GL Accountant will include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (in accordance with IFRS/Swiss GAAP)
• VAT reconciliations and preparation of VAT statements
• Liaising with multiple units - acting as a sparring partner within the Finance function
• Working closely with management to implement and document ICS controls
• Preparation for audit, working with external consultants 

We are looking for German-speaking Accountants with experience using SAP and strong knowledge of IFRS and Swiss GAAP.

This role will require deputising the Head of General Ledger. Experience with taking control, improving processes and mentoring juniors is key!

Fluent German is a requirement for this role.
